Scrapbooking

Well, this weekend i actually got to scrap. i did layouts of our family vacation. I love to scrapbook. I wish i had more time to put into it. It's amazing how fast time flies when you are so into what you are doing. I commented that my hardest to scrap was Baily. I absolutely love the lo i did of her. it was my favorite. i will load it here asap. i hope to scrap again real soon.

I am so Sad...

I have a very strained relationship with my brother. He is my oldest brother. The one who always looked out for me and stuck up for me against the other two brothers growing up. Things became difficult during a very important time in his life. I thought we had burried the problem and chose to move on so we can at least have a relationship. Our boys are only months apart and I have a neice I have seen twice. I am always including them in my family doings only to be ignored. There is no respect there. What makes it difficult is they choose to see other family members without making the time for my family. I never would have expected life to turn out this way. I always thought at least we would have family. As much as I tell myself, I am not going to let it bother me...it does. It is very sad to say, my kids don't know their cousins, and I am not so sure I know my brother anymore. I will continue to make the effort, and hope that the hurt goes away, or maybe just maybe they will realize how important family really is.

Erika is 5

Erika is officially 5 years old! She has been waiting for her birthday reminding us about it day in and day out. She is our little Paris! All about fashion. Skirts and short shirts, sleeveless, high healed shoes. Her favorite dog? I will let you guess. She had a birthday party, well 2 actually. A family party with a water slide and bouncy house. Her friends from school came to her party at Cheernastics. She is so excited to start Kindergarten this year.

Softball Season

Baily has joined a travel softball team for the summer. She is playing with girls 2 years older then her, only 1 is younger. They started out like the Bad News Bears. Lost their first game by the 10 run rule. we were thankful it was over. Monday night...they beat that same team by 10 runs! I am so proud of her! And her coach? He is very encouraging to all the girls. You would never know he didn't know much about the game 3 months ago. Now all his extra time and then some is about the game, and how he can help them get better. Yes, I am talking about Shamus. Never in a million years would I have thought he would be into sports. They say that people don't change...I don't agree with that. We have championships next week, at this very moment we are in second place.

Trenton

Today was the day we went to Trenton to watch Baily receive her award for bieng apart of the 3rd kindest school in New Jersey. She was so proud to do this. Only 3 Kids from her class were chosen to go and she was one of them. It started out rainy...but the sun came out. The kids sang their school song, they did a great job! then we had a picnic lunch. I had never been to Trenton before...now I can say I have been there. It was really very pretty. It was nice being apart of their special day. I am super proud of her!

Kindergarten Orientation

I took Erika to her Kindergarten Orientation. She was a bit scared when we first got there, but went right in as the principal walked me in the other direction. I have to say, my stomach went a little fluttery, but I am super excited for her. She got to ride on the school bus and she had a snack(which she can't remember what it was). They did a little coloring. She is very excited now, but continues to call it Baily's school. I can't wait for her to realize it will be her school too!

Back for more tomorrow. I just hope she understands we have to wait until September to start going there!
